The Alpinia Labs Exfoliating Methylene Blue Body Soap 
is a cold-process body soap bar formulated with 
USP-grade methylene blue and finely ground Arabica 
coffee for physical exfoliation. Saponified olive oil, 
coconut oil, and apricot kernel oil base. No SLS. No 
synthetic fragrance. No parabens. Handcrafted in Cape 
Coral, Florida. 4oz bar.

THE TWO HERO INGREDIENTS
This bar is built around two distinct ingredient 
stories working simultaneously in one cold-process 
formula.

Arabica coffee grounds — physical exfoliation: Finely 
ground Coffea Arabica seed powder distributed evenly 
throughout the bar. The granular texture physically 
lifts dead skin cells from the body surface with each 
use — the same mechanism as a body scrub, in a soap 
bar that lathers and rinses clean. The coffee grounds 
are embedded throughout the bar — not applied to the 
surface — meaning every wash from the first to the 
last delivers consistent exfoliation as the bar 
lathers and the grounds release against skin. The 
coffee scent is the ingredient. No synthetic fragrance 
is added.

USP-grade methylene blue — same standard as the 
capsule range: The methylene blue in this bar meets 
the same United States Pharmacopeia purity 
specification as the Alpinia blu capsule range. Not 
cosmetic grade. Not laboratory grade. Pharmaceutical 
purity specification applied to a cold-process body 
soap formula. The natural blue compound that gives 
this bar its color. No dye is added. The blue is the 
ingredient.

WHY PHYSICAL EXFOLIATION MATTERS
Standard body soap cleans the skin surface. Physical 
exfoliation goes a step further — the mechanical 
action of the coffee grounds against skin lifts dead 
skin cells that have built up between washes. The 
result is a cleaner, smoother surface after each wash 
rather than just a clean one.

Unlike a body scrub product which requires rinsing out 
of a pot or tube, the coffee grounds in this bar 
disperse with the lather and rinse away cleanly. No 
residue left in the shower. No product wasted.

HOW TO USE
Wet the bar and your skin thoroughly. Work up a 
lather in hands or on a loofah before applying to 
body. Apply in gentle circular motions — the coffee 
grounds provide physical exfoliation as you work. 
Focus on rough areas: elbows, knees, and heels. 
Rinse completely. Coffee grounds and any temporary 
blue tint from the methylene blue rinse clean. 
Avoid eye area.

Store on a dry soap dish between uses — do not leave 
sitting in water. Keeping the bar dry between uses 
significantly extends its lifespan.

Note: Methylene blue may leave a faint temporary 
tint on skin that fades quickly with rinsing. Coffee 
grounds may temporarily mark the shower floor — 
rinse after use. White washcloths and loofahs can 
tint temporarily — rinse immediately and wash 
normally.

USP-GRADE METHYLENE BLUE — WHAT IT MEANS
USP-grade is the purity specification set by the 
United States Pharmacopeia — the same standard 
used in pharmaceutical applications. It is a 
meaningfully higher specification than cosmetic or 
laboratory-grade methylene blue, which may contain 
impurities not appropriate for topical use. The 
methylene blue in this bar is the same grade as the 
Alpinia blu capsule range — because the standard 
we apply to what goes in your body also applies to 
what goes on it.
